OUR PROGRAMS

How our work comes to life

Since 2013, Pink Lotus Project has invested in girls and women through three connected areas of work: leadership development, women’s health, and financial empowerment.

Sometimes opportunity begins with a first: a first college visit, an honest conversation about credit or help reaching a needed breast screening. For more than a decade, Pink Lotus Project has created those openings through leadership development, women’s health and financial empowerment.

Each program addresses a different barrier. Together, they help participants gain access to information, supportive relationships and practical opportunities that can shape what comes next.

Leadership Academy

A wider view of what is possible.

The Pink Lotus Leadership Academy gives girls preparing to enter high school room to discover how they lead and where that leadership can take them.

Participants have explored college and HBCU pathways, learned from women doing meaningful work and built relationships with peers who are imagining their own futures.

More than 30 girls have participated since the Academy launched in 2016.

Academy experiences and supporting fundraisers have included the Gulf Coast Youth Leadership Symposium, Girls, Goals & Cupcakes, Talk Derby to Me and Champagne & Chandeliers.

Financial Empowerment

Making room for the questions women deserve to ask.

Buying a home can feel complicated, especially when the language, process and financial requirements are unfamiliar.

Mortgages & Mimosas created a more welcoming way for women to sit with knowledgeable professionals and ask real questions about credit, mortgage options, assistance programs, insurance and homeownership.

That same approach guides Pink Lotus Project’s financial empowerment work: useful information, trusted voices and practical next steps.

Women's Health & Wellness

A serious cause. A community willing to show up.

For years, Cha Cha for the Ta Ta’s filled rooms with pink, music, movement and purpose.

The signature fundraiser made breast health part of an open community conversation while raising money to help women access breast-imaging services.

Through Cha Cha and the people who continued to support it, Pink Lotus Project has contributed more than $15,000 to Memorial’s Breast Imaging Fund.

A few moments along the way.

When the community needed something specific....we've been there.

Some ideas became long-term programs. Others answered a need that was right in front of us.

Project Prom helped collect formalwear for young people preparing for a major milestone. A separate purse drive brought people together to donate handbags, fill them with useful supplies and prepare them for giving.

These focused initiatives reflect a part of Pink Lotus Project that has been present since 2013: see the need, gather the community and find a practical way to help.
